The DowntownDC BID Momentum Awards represent a cross-section of people, projects, and organization in both the public and private sectors who have brought innovation and excitement to downtown. The National Cherry Blossom Festival proudly received the Downtown Partnership/Program award for energizing DC and downtown by promoting conventions, tourism, and leisure travel, as well as creating more business opportunities, jobs and tax revenue for the city.

Our 2018 Festival received 14 coveted Pinnacle Awards from the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA). This professional competition recognizes the most outstanding examples of quality and creativity in the festivals and events industry.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is thrilled to have won 14 coveted Pinnacle Awards from the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA). Each year, IFEA recognizes outstanding accomplishments and top quality creative, promotional, operational and community outreach programs and materials produced by festivals and events around the world. The Festival came in first place (Gold) in five categories, and second place (Silver) in the esteemed Grand Pinnacle Award category, considered a top industry honor.
